Bell Tower Tashkent

At Amir Timur Square, right in the heart of the Uzbek capital Tashkent, the Ippolito Fleitz Group realized the interior design for the International Forum Palace "Uzbekistan". The palace was ceremonially opened on the occasion of the 2200th anniversary of Tashkent in September 2009. In connection with this project, a jewelry store was designed at the same time. This moved into one of two historical bell towers, which form the creative prelude to the representative ensemble at Amir Timur Square.
The rooms thematically and functionally translate the exclusivity of the presented goods and look like jewelry boxes. Dark walls are overlaid by laser-cut surface ornaments made of highly polished stainless steel sheet. Moving away from the walls and into the room, the second skin develops unexpected depths of light. The longitudinal direction of the rooms is optically extended by ornamental, tinted mirrors at the front sides and a dynamic lighting element on the ceiling. Only deliberately staged openings such as windows and showcases dissolve the boundaries of the brilliant box. The jewellery showcases, precisely illuminated and partly equipped with monitors, offer ideal conditions for presenting the precious collections.
